uncle jack brings goodies

Uncle Jack popped in to see our St.Patty's Day decor and have some corn chowder. mmm! Thanks for the Girl Scout Cookies!!! Dylan gave him a hug before bed. Dylan was eating his tomato soup so well today I had to post a picture. I told him he has had a lot of this, especially in the womb.
Here is a pic of Dylan in his new pyjamas from Louge. Yes, he is Swiffering.
This is Dylan just over a year ago. Why isn't his nose still orange? Ross and I wonder....
Thanks for the comments-keep them coming!!! :)

Dylan loves the ladies

Here is Monica, the dental student, helping Dylan brush his teeth. She babysat for him and he was in seventh heaven.
Thanks Monica!! You kick ass. Splashing with a Daddy-made Bubble Fro.

Super cool D.

february is almost spring

To all the blog-readers: we have been MIA b/c of an unfortunate accident with the card reader. I am not naming names, but he is the shortest person in our family! :) We are back and I hope this means you will start posting again, JULIE! I had to post this picture of Dylan in the car b/c he refused to take a nap that day and then finally fell asleep after 3pm and a visit to Aunt Cathy's house. I was trapped in the car and had my camera-it was a great moment because there is nothing cuter than a sleeping kid.

This pic is after finger painting-Dylan did astonishingly well. We stripped it down to the diaper and then he painted his belly button and knee. Believe it or not this was a distraction from constant whining for bubbles, his favorite word.
I love this picture: it will forever remind me that this child refuses to pose in any traditional manner, especially when feeling "set up". Clearly he is giving Cupid the once-over...

He really loves bacon.

snow day

Today Dylan went sledding. Yes, we dressed him in a halloween Tiger suit to keep him warm. Maybe it is a Liger suit, we aren't sure.

Even though he looks serious, he was having a great time. Notice he went down all by himself-and happily!! He is a daredevil.

fun with play dough

I don't think comments are necessary-do you? :)

December picture

This is Dylan at the beach house. Even though it was December, there was a ton of light coming in the window, so it looks like he is in a studio!

Hey January

Another brush with my arch-nemesis: the floor.
how did this huge red mark, picture taken an hour after impact(falling off of chair), NOT become a black-eye/bruise?

Slow dancing with DaDa, a nightly occurrence in the Mitchell household...
I love this face. Wouldn't you love to know what he is thinking? I'm talking to you, lurkers!!!
"you talkin' to me???"

vintage Dylan

Sometimes Ross still tries this-but Dylan hasn't cooperated in a LONG time. This is early November 2005. Ross likes this one from last early December...like I said, he doesn't appreciate the Santa hat.

This is from our October visit to Boise. I loved the days when he would fall asleep anywhere! Infants are very cool this way. Thanks for looking/lurking!!

Happy Monday everyone

Don't let this face fool you: he loved the pumpkin pie! He loves sitting in Ross' lap and eating with him, or doing anything with him. He sings "da da daaaaaaaaaa" in the morning and plays with our eyelashes-his latest obsession.
This is a picture of Dylan saying hi to all the lurkers here...Yes, I'm talking to you, MO!!! Dylan likes comments, so if you want more pics, you must comment.... I just had to link this one because what kind of expression is that? I caught him with his fingers in my cookie and evidence on his face(see sprinkle below) and he has the nerve to give me this look??? Where did these pouty lips/looks come from? ha!

'Tis the Season

I don't even know what to say about this one. The pictures I took last year at this time were very similar. 17 months and still hates the santa hats. Dylan helped me frost cookies. Helping consisted of eating frosting off both of our cookies. He also liked the sprinkles.

On Monday night we all helped make a gingerbread house. Dylan actually did help with this one-he was great! when his candies fell off the roof he would giggle, and when we weren't looking he would sneak candies into his mouth so quickly that all we could do was giggle. He is the best.

halloween

Our digital card reader took a tumble but is now back in business. I will take some updated pics soon.
Here are a few from Halloween. As you can see, Dylan was a devil, and Ross was...Ross.
Is that Frankenstein...in duck blind camo? Nope-just Uncle Ryan making his blog debut!
