sorry louge I couldn't help myself

The aunties came to town to meet Cody. I had my dad take a picture and told everyone to be silly. If you look closely, you will see Dylan squished, by choice, between Louge and I.

Seriously-how could I NOT post this picture? It makes me laugh everytime I see it. I didn't take it and assume it was Kristy because she is the only person who could get this type of reaction out of Louge. Some things never change:)
Ross and I told Dylan he could watch his Cars movie while we watched the presidential debate last week. I don't know what Cody is doing there, but he is looking rather "smegal-ish". He almost looks photoshopped in, but I could never claim to be that savvy.
Dylan, finally, let me take some pics of him. Here is one that was in focus. I miss the days when he let me take as many of him as I wanted and hope those days are coming back. I love that you can see his few freckles.

two more

Dylan loves popsicles, to say the least. His favorite thing this summer was to hang out with Daddy on the porch eating popsicles at the end of the day. So I decided to peek at them and this is what I saw.

Dylan was impressed that his construction dirt movers were in the picture.

This is Rob and Sage (his dog) in the layout boat. Dylan was in there with them, but decided to go it alone.
He is a very independent little guy.

fixing the bike

this is the other project that Dylan worked on with Rob this summer. Ross needed a bike to ride to work, so Rob offered to fix up an older one of his. Dylan was very excited to help and Rob is very patient!

when Dylan goes to Wenatchee...

He likes to help Rob dig dirt by the canal...

And take it to his "job site"
He hung out with Willow and baby Emery, or "that baby" as he still calls her affectionately. Notice his array of Cars Movie cars...he had to keep those away from "that baby's" mouth.
He helps Niney cook brownies and other various food items.
And he rides the "tractor" with Rob.

Dylan loves his new brother:)

no baby yet

Hello to anyone who is peeking:

No baby Cody yet. Sorry man but you will have to take it up with him. So happy he is already taking after his brother in this regard. I am doing fine and he is doing fine and Dylan is sillier and more of a spaz everyday. So glad that HE is taking after his father in this regard. HA!

Soon I will be outnumbered...oh wait, I already am.

Ross knows the code to update the blog and I will have him do so when Cody cracks out. Until then, I leave you with some v ancient pics of Dylan to help you imagine what the next minion will probably look like.

public service announcement

8 months prego now(with baby C) and then(with Dylan)
Please don't tell pregnant women they look huge.
It doesn't matter what you meant, it is still rude.
Ring the changes a bit: "Good job cooking that kid-well done."
For some of us our genetic destiny is to carry like we shoved a basketball down our throat.
I'm just sayin'.

3 years old/John Robie the Cat

so glad Dylan is small enough to fit through the window when we lock ourselves out, which we did tonight, but also old enough to land on his feet and open the door. as he would say "I'm a good helper!"

Dylan loved his new dinosaurs and gave them a good washing in the shower where they tried to eat his trucks. I'm pretty sure he called one of them "baby Cody" and had a long conversation about a bunch of nothing. Ross calls him "chatterbox" and his favorite sayings right now are: Let's get this show on the road/Snug as a bug in a rug.

what a fun kid he is!

hugs

saying hi to his baby brother

sports

Maybe excavating is not a sport, but for Dylan it is pretty close.
Dylan keeps his eye on the ball while the 5-year-old neighbor watches.
Quintessential football picture-love it.

While Tom and Ross tried to play football, Dylan insisted on throwing the ball into the bushes.
And no, I was not involved in the decision to take off his shirt.
